The Victor  AI Project (The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court/University of Brasilia)

Overview:

The Victor AI is the pioneer AI applied to the Brazilian Judiciary. The Victor is an AI system applied to  cases pending in the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court and seeks to facilitate the process of identifying the so-called general repercussion, contributing to increased performance and efficiency in the processing  stages of extraordinary appeals in the Court. 

Aims: 

Access to justice: One of the biggest procedural obstacles is the enforcement of court warrants. The AI ​​Victor guarantees a faster and safer process, increasing the effectiveness of the jurisdictional provision.
Protection of fundamental rights: More effective judicial processes extend constitutional guarantees regarding material and procedural fundamental rights.

How? 

The Victor's AI was developed using machine learning techniques.
